TEDNA Raffle at NCAI Raises Over $350 |

TEDNA's
raffle at the National Congress of American Indians' 60th Annual Session
in Albuquerque, New Mexico raised over $350. Winners haled from Alaska to
Idaho, North Dakota, and Oklahoma. Ron Brainard, Chairman of the Coos, Lower
Umpqau and Siuslaw Indians in Oregon won the grand prize: a framed, limited
edition Sam English print done in 1989 for the 20th Anniversary of the American
Indian Graduate Center. "This is the first time in my life I've won
something," said Chairman Brainard. "My wife is thrilled."
Other prizes included beadwork, basketry, and T-shirts, all designed and crafted by tribal artists and generously donated to TEDNA. In addition to Chairman Brainard, other raffle winners were as follows. |
